The below characters of the original play of Macbeth defined by the Shakespeare Lexicon.

Graymalkin: A familiar spirit in the shape of a cat  (referenced to within the play)

Paddock: A familiar spirit in the shape of a toad. (referenced to within the play)

Hecate: The goddess of hell and of sorcery. (Thee Evil Character)

Although the characters role is small in dialogue in the original play, the definition given in the Lexicon determines this character (Hecate) as the ring leaderof the Evil within this play.. Like Lucifer (Satan) of the Holy Bible is the ring leader of the demons.

Q: If the original play of Macbeth is man against himself, who then are these three other characters of the original play of Macbeth?

Q: Is it evident now, Shakespeare did not mean his original play of Macbeth to be a play of ... man against himself?

A quick look at the Holy Bible, which is not solely meant to quickly teach a sermon in Bible Prophecy, but to clearly note the name(s) of the character(s) of this fictitious play of Macbeth have been changed to clearly reflect the very real non-fictitious satanic character(s) of the Holy Bible for an adaptable entertainment value.
